Baseline comparisons of continuous variables between groups were made with the Wilcoxon rank-sum test, and comparisons of categorical variables were made with the chi-square or Fisher exact tests.
Preadmission and in-hospital LDL levels were compared by a paired t test (2-tailed). The χ2 test was used to assess impact of the intervention on the number of patients who had lipid levels measured during hospitalization and the percentage of patients discharged on high-intensity statin therapy.
