Although applying physical changes such as standing desks may be a solution to break up sitting time at work, it appears to be a less feasible strategy in the home office context due to the expensive cost for the companies:
I’m a big advocate of standing desks, standing workstations in terms of being effective but I appreciate that in this situation it’s probably not feasible for them to be incorporated in the home-office.

We received permission to send the mass email to female students aged 18 to 35 years once per academic term for all terms in which we recruited new participants at FSU and for one of the terms at a local Historically Black College and University. The mass email was the most effective recruitment tool, yielding the largest response. All prospective participants underwent telephone screenings to assess potential eligibility. Full eligibility was determined during the in-person assessment at baseline.

One participant shared:
I look at [transition] as me having to know a lot about myself, especially where I am with my health. At the end of the day, my mother has to stop bringing me to the appointments, I can't bring her all the time, right? Because it’s that independent thing that comes in. So I think it’s just a learning experience about myself, learning about where I am with my health, knowing everything that I need to know for myself so I don't have to depend on anybody else to know it for me.
