The smartphone acceleration includes data in the X, Y, and Z axes, representing vertical, mediolateral, and anteroposterior directions, respectively. An approximation of the vertical displacement of the smartphone was calculated by double integration of the vertical acceleration signal, applying a high-pass filter (2nd order Butterworth, 0.1 Hz) at each step to reduce the drift.
