Perspectives of Adolescents and Young Adults With Inflammatory Bowel Disease on a Biopsychosocial Transition Intervention: Qualitative Interview Study

Perspectives of Adolescents and Young Adults With Inflammatory Bowel Disease on a Biopsychosocial Transition Intervention: Qualitative Interview Study

One participant shared: I look at [transition] as me having to know a lot about myself, especially where I am with my health. At the end of the day, my mother has to stop bringing me to the appointments, I can't bring her all the time, right? Because it’s that independent thing that comes in. So I think it’s just a learning experience about myself, learning about where I am with my health, knowing everything that I need to know for myself so I don't have to depend on anybody else to know it for me.

Effect of the Yon PD App on the Management of Self-Care in People With Parkinson Disease: Randomized Controlled Trial

Lee with permission from the original author. The Korean version of the SC-CII is downloadable from a website [37]. The SC-CII measures three domains of self-care: self-care maintenance (8 items), self-care monitoring (5 items), and self-care management (7 items). Each item was scored using a 5-point Likert scale (1=never or not likely, 5=always or very likely) with total scores ranging from 0 to 100.

Employers’ Perspectives of Caregiver-Friendly Workplace Policies for Caregiver-Employees Caring for Older Adults in Hong Kong: Thematic Analysis

Participant 4 specifically pointed to the importance of time as an example of nonfinancial support for working caregivers: I think the most important thing is time. There are different degrees of illness; maybe he (i.e., the care recipient) has a stroke, or he has terminal cancer, a case like mine has only a few months left. And if you have to keep working and cannot spend time with your family. I think that's a great pity. Seven participants pointed to the importance of emotional support for CEs.

Digital Health Intervention Effect on Older Adults With Chronic Diseases Living Alone: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials

Digital Health Intervention Effect on Older Adults With Chronic Diseases Living Alone: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials

To evaluate the statistical heterogeneity of the effect size of the selected literature, the chi-square test was performed after calculating the Q value (ie, the total observed variance); the measurement was conducted using the P value and I². I² is the index representing the variance ratio between actual studies to total variance, in which if the P value is less than 0.10 and I² is 50% or higher, the heterogeneity of the effect size is considered significant [25].

Factors Influencing Health Care Technology Acceptance in Older Adults Based on the Technology Acceptance Model and the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology: Meta-Analysis

Li et al [19] found that PU had very little impact on the BI to adopt a remote health management service for older adults while Mahmood and Lee [20] reported a high influence of PU for health monitoring wearable technology. For older adults, ease of use is crucial because physical and cognitive abilities affect the acceptance and use of technology [21,22]. However, studies are conflicting.
