Web-Based Fully Automated Self-Help With Different Levels of Therapist Support for Individuals With Eating Disorder Symptoms: A Randomized Controlled Trial

A target sample size of 344 participants was calculated by the software program Power Analysis and Sample Size version 8.0 (2008) to yield 80% power to detect an expected between-group (pooled Featback conditions vs WLC) difference at post-intervention with an effect size of 0.3, α=.05, and an expected dropout rate of 30% (for more details on power calculation, see the paper by Aardoom et al [22]).
