A Digital Program for Daily Life Management With Endometriosis: Pilot Cohort Study on Symptoms and Quality of Life Among Participants

This cohort study was designed to measure the impact of a digital health program on the symptoms and QOL levels of women with endometriosis. The study also aimed to provide insights into the value of a digital program for the day-to-day management of endometriosis and to address the lack of real-life data studies for digital support in endometriosis.

More than 400,000 Google searches on endometriosis are carried out per month in the United States alone [10]. An Australian study showed that a Google search for “endometriosis” increased by 26.4% after the announcement of the 2018 National Action Plan for Endometriosis in Australia [11].

Endometriosis, uterine fibroids, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) are among the most common with prevalences estimated at 10%-15%, 20%-40%, and 5%-20%, respectively [1-12]. All 3 conditions have been associated with fertility issues [12-14]. Endometriosis is a condition where endometrial tissue is found outside of the uterus and is typically characterized by painful periods, abnormal bleeding, and chronic pelvic pain, among other symptoms [5,14,15].
