This study’s objective is to review commercially available solutions in health care management, with a specific focus on their features and functionalities.
To understand off-the-shelf digital solutions and their functionalities, this study included identification, screening, extraction, and qualitative synthesis phases.

The persuasive system design (PSD) model has been used extensively to map youth mental health interventions [31,32] and conceptualize features and functionality that might promote engagement and adherence to digital health interventions [33] in 4 main ways.

The many capabilities, features, and functionalities that can be incorporated into smoking cessation apps have the potential to increase their effectiveness. Apps can include interactive and multimedia content, and offer tailored features to meet the needs and preferences of different types of users [13].

Given that ECs have a wide range of configurations and features, different tax bases may lead to different tax burdens on different EC types (eg, vape pens vs disposables) [26]. The taxation policies also differ by state regarding whether to tax devices, which are the more durable components compared to refillable cartridges or e-liquid in open-system ECs. A better understanding of EC devices and their costs is needed to guide taxation policies for devices.

We compared the average AUC of each classifier as the number of features increased for 6-month mortality prediction (Figure 2). Overall, the performance of all methods improved considerably as the number of features increased. Specifically, in most scenarios, when the number of features increased to 30, four classifiers demonstrated significantly higher AUC than the inter RAI-HC Frailty Scale. LASSO regression generally demonstrated higher or comparable AUC than RF, MLP, and XGBoost.

Chang et al [22] developed a system integrating web-based maternity records, including explanations about individual tests; self-care journals for weight, blood pressure, movement and contraction tracking; and educational features. A survey administered to 68 pregnant participants revealed that the pregnancy calculator, estimated date of birth, and body calculator were particularly relevant for pregnant women, and 80.9% of participants stated the system was useful for their pregnancy.

Such categorization of app features is essential because each feature could support different cognitive processes [20]. A classification of apps and browser extensions for digital self-control resulted in 4 features based on functionality: block or removal, self-tracking, goal advancement, and reward or punishment [21]. A recent review of Google’s Digital Wellbeing apps delineated 2 main categories of features: self-monitoring and interventions [13].

Therefore, the aim of this study is to gather the experience of women with GDM with implementations of the desirable features in a GDM app prototype.
To investigate how the desirable features of GDM apps [14] should be incorporated, our research design consisted of 2 phases: First, we designed a GDM prototype app consisting of implementations of the features [14], and second, we evaluated the experiences of these features with semistructured interviews.

Another method to evaluate the quality of PA–related apps is by assessing technical features or design. The m Health taxonomy of Olla and Shimskey examines features such as data management, user interface, and device type [38]. The MARS evaluated technical features as well, such as having an app community and containing data protection using a password [35]. However, these technical features were not included in the quality score of the app.
