Developing and Demonstrating the Viability and Availability of the Multilevel Implementation Strategy for Syncope Optimal Care Through Engagement (MISSION) Syncope App: Evidence-Based Clinical Decision Support Tool

Syncope is a common yet complex presenting symptom that requires thoughtful and efficient evaluation to determine the etiology of the patient’s loss of consciousness (LOC). Estimates indicate that one-half of all Americans will experience syncope during their lives, with recurrence rates as high as 13.5% [1]. The prognosis of a patient with syncope depends on the etiology and other potential underlying medical conditions.
