After this period, each participant was provided with a task booklet outlining 8 novel tasks to be completed during the CW focus group. Each task had 3 corresponding questions used to identify usability problems about the task and assist with the facilitation of group discussion. The workbook was designed for additional observations to be recorded during each task.

The participant data were anonymized and replaced with a code. Data could not be tracked back to an individual except with a list that included the names of the individuals and their respective codes. This list was securely locked and only accessible to the authors of this paper. The participants were not compensated for taking part in the study.
We used assessments at pretreatment, 8 weeks after pretreatment (posttreatment), and 16 weeks after pretreatment (follow-up).

Presumably for this reason, 1 participant mentioned that the data quality was not good enough.
Accuracy of suggestions is an area with several influencing factors such as the type of trial, general accessibility of the data, and data quality. One reason for false positives can be that not all of the important criteria are accessible, leading to suggestions that are technically correct, although the patient is still not eligible for the trial.

The first section had participant characteristics, including age, sex, nationality, marital status, education level, place of residence, family income, employment status, and field of specialization, and additional information such as self-reported health status, self-reported prior knowledge about AI, and experience of diagnostic errors.
The second section measured attitudes toward AI in radiology using a validated questionnaire (Multimedia Appendix 1) developed by Ongena et al [17].

All study procedures were approved by the National University of Singapore (NUS) before participant recruitment and all participants provided informed consent (institutional review board #S-20-025). This RCT was preregistered on Open Science Framework [44]. All data were de-identified. Participants were reimbursed up to $30, 8 subject pool hour credits, or both, pro-rated based on their degree of participation.

Across the 28 days, participants received 6 prompts each day to complete a short survey on their smartphone (ie, signal-contingent design); prompts were delivered randomly within 2-hour windows across a 12-hour participant-selected block (eg, 9 AM to 9 PM).

Due to the college schedule of the final exam week and summer break (when the students would be unavailable for intervention), the approval of our clinical trial registration occurred after the initiation of participant enrollment, since we were unable to logistically defer the enrollment to accommodate an unexpected delay in trial registration approval. This study’s data were deidentified after data entry.
